Notice having been duly given, a special meeting of the South Coast
Air Quality Management District Board was held at District Headquarters,
21865 E. Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, California. Members present:

Chairman Glover called the meeting to order at 9:45 a.m. Dr. Wallerstein
gave the
introduction and requested the Board’s approval of staff’s
recommendations for the
ethnic outreach task orders. Following comments and discussion by Board
members.
Mr. Paulitz
moved that the Board approve staff recommendations,
with the
direction to amend the task orders to address not only
ethnicities,
but also include people that are economically and
environmentally challenged. The motion was seconded by Ms. Carney,
and passed
unanimously with Ms. LaPisto-Kirtley and Mr. Loveridge
being absent.
Mr. Pearce presented the AQMD’s financial summary, and Larry Bowen,
Planning and
Rules Manager, gave an overview on the proposed amendments to Regulation
III – Fees, which the Board will consider at its regular meeting on May
3, 2002.
There was no public comment, and the meeting was adjourned at 11:20 a.m.
The foregoing is a true statement of the proceedings held by the South
Coast Air Quality Management District Board on April 19, 2002.
