Proposed amendments will ensure further reductions of VOC emissions from process drains and other components of wastewater systems located at refineries, oil and gas production facilities, and chemical and industrial plants.
3. Set Public Hearing September 13, 1996 to Amend Rule 1171 - Solvent

Proposed Amended Rule 1171 will establish VOC and solvent vapor pressure limits that will reduce VOC emissions 20.5 tons per day by year 2010 through greater use of aqueous cleaning technologies as well as acetone blend formulations. The proposed VOC limits will be effective January 1999, to allow sufficient time for facilities to convert to newer cleaning processes.
4. Award Bid for a Cafeteria Management Firm

ARAMARK operates the AQMD cafeteria under a contract that expires September 30, 1996. On March 8, 1996, the Board authorized the release of an RFP for a food service management company. Extensive outreach resulted in ten bid submittals. This action is to engage the services of the most qualified bidder.

All agendas are posted at AQMD Headquarters, 21865 E. Copley Drive, Diamond Bar, California, at least 72 hours in advance of the meeting. All information concerning agenda items may be reviewed in the Library at AQMD Headquarters one week before Board meetings. At the end of the agenda, an opportunity is also provided for the public to speak on any subject within the AQMD's authority. Speakers may be limited to three (3) minutes each.
Note that on items listed on the Consent Calendar and the balance of the agenda any motion, including action, can be taken (consideration is not limited to listed recommended actions). Additional matters can be added and action taken by two-thirds vote, or in the case of an emergency, by a majority vote.
